What equipment should I buy and why?
Are you looking to invest in digital Fabrication Equipment? Laser? CNC Mill or Lathe? Vinyl cutter? Plasma cutter? 3D scanner? 3D Printer? what would you buy again and what would you suggest I not buy and why?

CNC
I am currently using a Flashcut 5400 benchtop mill. Light duty, perfect for cutting wax models, 2d and 3d parts.
Affordable, easy to use, the USB controller is very user-friendly and easy to use.

CNC, 3D printers, Laser Engravers, what ever you get do your research. There are plenty of "Harbor Frieght" quality items out there which may work for a year or two and then die or take so much time tweeking that it takes away from teaching.

Very good advice. Buy good stuff one time and keep making parts rather than fixing stuff.

I learned almost everything from YouTube videos and other DIY posts. If you buy an electronic CNC Kit, they all come with instructions.

trying to figure out how to add a printer head without upgrading to a 4th or 5th axis software to control the extruder. Any leads would be great on this Bob
