Rhino in Education

a place to shine a light on the work of students and teachers

Hi there,
until now I got some experience by using the oldy Newtek Lightwave 6.5. This piece of software wasn't in my possession but I had chance to freely try it without any problem. I made many small and big models and I fell in love with 3D. Later I discovered 3DS Max due to need to make some models for former popular computer games (mods) and then I saw old version of Rhino. I tried evaluation version and was excited with option and abilities. Evaluation version ended soon and I left it for better time. I'm teacher and I planned to learn and understand basic principles of design with Rhino in order to transfer it to kids, but missing of some good PDF books and comprehensible tutorial keep me away from my goals. I'm little confused how to draw some shape consist of many straight and curved lines: do I make at first plain lines, then continue from last point with curve or in reverse order? Beside this, I sometime have a need to change some part of shape from curve to straight line and vice-versa, but I don't know is it right way or there is some more easier way, like I did it in CorelDraw?
Anyway, Rhino is great software, and version 5 is great lap in right direction. I hope I'll be in future to get complete version. Thanks fro your attention.
