    Hi:

I will be teaching a collaborative & comprehensive studio with the St. Louis office of HOK in the Spring.  They use Rhino (as some of us do here) as a "parti-getting" tool and we are anxiously waiting for the semester to begin.

Does the Rhino group get involved in collaboration studios?

    Hello Bob,

3Dinx is not a school, it's an idea, an organisation which i just started. It's aim, my aim is to bring 3D modelling and digital fabrication to schools.

I live in a very rural area in germany, close to the dutch border. I'm dutch but live in germany now for 7 years. Schools here are small schools, they don't have the money or means to start a digital fabrication project. My idea is to offer them a simpel workshop were 3D modelling, 3D printing and info is presented and the children will have some hands-on experience in designing and 3D printing.

I have a 10 years Rhino experience now and the last 5 years i thaught teachers, profesors and creative professionals the basics of 3D modelling and digital fabrication. Now I'm ready to do something new and my ambition is to bring the 3D gospel to children and teenagers.

    with regards

    Marc

    Thanks Bob,

I am still having difficulty getting the gear gen script to load.  I am going to ask Eric Nieland to help.  You said to ask you if gear gen would make a worm gear.  so I am asking.

thanks for all you help and wisdom.

    Hi Bob,

I've heard about this guitar building as a HS project.  Back when I was young we used to call it shop class :).

I think it's great in a tech oriented HS, when I was teaching it was a Catholic HS and they didn't know what shop was or why it was important.

I would be glad to field any questions anyone has regarding building process or techniques.

This is my current build  http://s1065.photobucket.com/user/sdantonio93/library/2014%20Classi...

:) This was Halloween 2014, party theme was characters played by Robin Williams, who had died only a few months earlier. His last live character was reprising Teddy Roosevelt in "Night at the Museum 3", which opened posthumously.

    Will do, Bob, thanks

Bob, I appreciate your contacting me. I am an Instructor at State Fair Community College, in Sedalia, Mo. SFCC is a trades school and I teach Solar-PV & Thermal Techs. We in the course do terrain studies, site layouts and systems designs. I am a Aero engineer so came with CAD background, but now realize I need what Rhino brings to our students. I'll post as I go, learning and getting my skills up to par. Really looking forward to using Rhino in my classes.

Bob thanks for the welcome! Love the site! Rhino is one of the more popular programs we use up here to design scenery for movies. Now that I’ve taken up a bit of teaching I hope to introduce our film students to this great tool.

    Hello Bob.
I'm an Industrial Design Engineer with postgraduate studies in Industrial Design and I've been using Rhino since 2005, after receiving my Level II certification, both for educational and commercial projects in various sectors (mostly industrial, furniture and eye-wear). I've been also collaborating with AKTO Art & Design College in Athens, Greece, as a Rhino teacher for a while.

    Thanks Bob,

I'm the wearer of many hats, student/teacher/administrator, when it comes to Rhino in our R&D department.  I just came on to help with some design transitions and I'm looking for all sources of information that will help me learn and teach Rhino; not just at our company, but also with the schools and organizations I interact with through missions work and through the STEM programs of the Civil Air Patrol.

Thank you, Bob! I will better my Rhino skill as much as I can.
